I read books! And had some thoughts about some of them, but had forgotten about others.

I figured I should make this post before April was over and I was even further behind! As it stands, travel and hosting visitors and general work/life obligations have set me back on my list of things to read and watch. It just keeps getting longer, not shorter!

Drowning in One Piece feelings and sad I only have 10 more volumes to read until I'm all caught up with all the English releases. Oda finally wrapped up the eons-long Dressrosa arc in Japan but over there they've just released the final volume of that as he moves onto the Zou/more Sanji backstory arc. I AM FULL OF ONE PIECE FEELINGS. In the middle of the Impel Down arc right now on my reread, dreading Marineford, but the arc is so good. I am incoherent with my all-consuming feelings and I want the next few volumes from my library, and I want to be up to date, and I want this series to actually end, and gloriously, so I can feast on all of it. I read a lot in October, probably matching what I'd read in June-September, mostly because books were easier than having a social life. And I sort of got on a roll -- Agatha Christie novels and regencies are just so easy and quick. Do they really count? But they were always enjoyable, and easy to get lost in another world even if briefly.

One day when One Piece ends, it may be my favorite manga. This is on the presumption and faith that Oda still knows what he's doing, has a plan, and will end strong and epic.
